New Car!

So this past little while, we have been contemplating on  weather or not sell the truck we bought from my parents or keeping it.  We have been looking at cars to see which one gets better gas mileage since Tony will be driving it back and forth from work down to 90th in sandy everyday.  The other day we went to Young Kia in Cntvl to see what they had.  After going for a test drive in the Kia, we decided that we really liked it and was going to see if they would give us a good trade in value for it.  They actually gave us a great trade in value for our truck, so it turned out really good.  Tony just said that today as he was coming home from work that he got 40 miles to the gallon. Which is so much better.  We love trucks and it was convenient but with gas prices up and such, it was a lot of money to fork out every week with gas for the truck.. This was it won't be quite as much and I fill the sequoia up every two weeks.  So far the car has been great!!

It was such a Beautiful Day Sunday.  It wasn't super warm but it wasn't super cold either.  My sister had just dropped off her kids at my house so she could go and do a visit, so we decided to go outside and play for a bit before heading up to my grandma's and aunts for another birthday Party.  We had so much fun outside.  Blake and I were playing frisbee and the girls were playing with balls, while Everett was in the house taking a nap undisturbed.  Our lawn and yard is finally making some progress and hopefully we will have lawn by the end of the Summer.  Slowly, slowly it will happen.  At least we are starting to see new grass pop up.  Tony has Fertilized in and put in new seed and we have aerated it.  I am hoping this all works!!!

Newphew Sealing

This last weekend was a very Special Weekend. Tony's younger sister and her hubby had adopted a little boy 6 mos ago and on Saturday they were able to be Sealed together for Time and All Eternity as a Family.  It was so special and such a neat experience.  We are so glad that they have adopted him and he is perfect for them!  he is a cute boy and we all love him!  He is very special!  Thanks for letting us enjoy and inviting us for your special day!  The next day (sunday), he was Blessed by his Father which was great!  These experiences you never forget!!

Jaci.....our Dangerous child....

Jaci.....I think she is going to be our child where she is going to be our FIRST that we are going to have to take in because she broke her arm or something or she is going to have to have stitches.  She has bruises all over her legs, and head....NO, we do not beat her.  A couple of day's before Easter she was in the kitchen trying to get up to the computer on one of the stools and fell backwards. Hitting her back of the head on the corner of the railing that goes down into my family room and than the stool came down with her and landed right on top of her therefore having a bruise right in the middle of her forehead.  Come to find out the next day, I notice that she has a small hole..(Laceration) on the back of her head.  NOthing I could do about, but still.  I felt really bad.  Than here come Easter and we are at my grandma's and I guess Marissa, Jaci and one of their other cousins were in the front yard climbing my grandmas tree and Jaci fell and now she has more bruises and scrapes on her face and legs.  I tell you , this girl......She is a daredevil at times and it really scares me!!  I just hope I never have to have my kids go to the ER because they broke something or they need stitches.

Easter...continued....

Pictures of Jacobsen Family Easter Egg Hunting!!!
I am so happy to know that I have a Heavenly Father who love me!  I am so grateful for the Atonement and I am glad that we can all live again someday as a Family!  I love seeing my kids telling me about Scripture stories and listening to them to hear what they have learned each Sunday!  It amazes me how much they learn and how much they want to choose the right!

Easter 2012

It was a Fun Easter  this year.  Everyone from the "Green Family" were able to get together, all except my sister who lives in Rochester who was going to give birth to their 4th child ay day!!  My grandma ever since we as grand kids were little she has done an Easter Egg hunt.  Now that all of us Grand kids are married (all except 2), we all have kids now and so she hides Eggs for all the "Great Grand kids".  I tell you, they all have a blast.  It is so fun to see everyone and all the little kids running around!  There are a lot of us know.  Including me there are 16 grand kids.  There are more Great Grand kids now. I know there are over 50 of us!  We all have kids about the same ages too!
We also had an Easter party of at Tony's family's house.  My kids got spoiled with all sorts of stuff.  I got my kids (girls) skirts for church and I did Iron on transfers for their white shirts!  It was fun!!!  Blake I did a shirt for him also.  Thanks Family for a fun Easter.  It was so good to wee you all!!  Here are some pictures!

Baby Animal Day's!

A couple of weeks ago when they held baby Animal day's, up in Logan, My family and I went.  My Brother and his family had just gotten into town earlier that week and so we decided it would be fun to go up and spend a day with all the kids and cousins.  I had never been before, but my kids and the rest of my siblings had. We all had a fun time and the kids were really great! We took a lunch up there and sat on the grass and ate! We saw Bunnies, Chicks, goats, horses, pigs, dogs.....Blake even rode a sheep again this year. (he had fun but he did get scrapped up a little and hurt his thigh.)  I believe he was the only one who rode the longest time.  His time was 11 sec.  He was a trooper.  Jaci's favorite part was holding the goats, Blake was the Mutten Bunsten and marissa....she would of held the bunnies and chicks all day if I would have let her. She loved it.  I had to go back at the end and she wanted to hold them again, before we left. She is an animal lover, I tell you!! It was super crazy and busy this year, but it was fun to experience it with my kids and my siblings and cousins and mom.  My mom paid for all of us, so THANK YOU MOM!!!  It was fun!!

Clark Planetarium Field Trip

A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to ride Frontrunner with Blake and the rest of the 2nd grade to the Clark Planetarium for a field trip.  They had been studying about rocks and the whole solar system.  It was fun to go with them.  They all had a great time and we even ate lunch at the gateway on the lawn.  Grateful it was a warm day and no rain.  We had fun and I think Blake enjoyed me coming!!
