Out to eat!!

It's Friday Night... I am tired of cooking, I don't have anything made yet.  What to do, what to do.  We took the kids out with us.  We needed to go and look at a few things and than decided where to go for dinner.  We had lots of different options...but we decided on a place.  From school (SEP CONF.), the teachers gave the kids a free meal for Apple-bee's so we took the kids there to eat.  And guess what.....Mu kids ate the food well and they were well behaved and we actually had a fun night!!  As always.....Marissa and Jaci  had their Mac and Cheese.  Blake had a Corn dog and I had their Oriental Chicken Salad...(super good)!  and Tony got some fettuc. with shrimp stuff.  we also got an appetizer to share which consisted of a couple of different items..one of those being BBQ chicken....and Jaci ate a whole thing of one!!  very surprising to us!! and she liked it!!  it was a great moment!! She also ate the Chips and salsa mentioning it was a little spicy, but kept on eating it!  the girl is crazy at times on what she will eat and what she won't! Spicy salsa and chips, but she won't eat a strawberry or coolwhip......I do believe she is getting better at her eating.  Marissa has definitely improved over the years and I really don't worry about her a whole lot! I wish she would drink more plain milk, but I give her Choc. milk which gives her the calories!!
So we are doing good and having fun as a family!!

Pictures of all moved in!

Here are some pictures of my home with our furniture in and everything put away!!  We have been here for 2 mos. now.  It's been great.  Tony and I each have a calling now! Tony is the 2nd Counselor in the Sunday School Presidency. I am in Primary teaching the CTR 5 class.  (I get to teach marissa's class)!  It's fun and Primary is fun.  I have been in RS for the past 5-6 yrs. so change is good, although I will miss R.S.  We are still getting to know who people are.  Our ward Boundaries are crazier than ever.  (that's what U get for moving to Layton)!  It's a good mix of people.  They are very nice and we love it here.  We have made some good friends and the kids have adjusted well. They have lots of friends so that is very nice!!  We love our home and it suites us well.  we never thought we would end up getting a 2-story, but we love it.  U get more sq. footage that is done than if you get a rambler with the basement un-finished!!  I have started to do yard work, which our yard needs it badly, but hopefully the grass will come in good and not be totally dead.  Our yard is great for the kids to play in and it's all fenced which is super nice!!
we miss all our old friends and our old ward!  Sometimes it's nice to have change and we knew we were not going to be in Farmington forever.  it's good!!
here are some pictures!

I told my hubby...this is going to be where we are going to live for the next 30 or so years or the rest of our life because we are not moving again!  Moving with kids....is a pain!!! But we are here to stay!!

Marissa Star of the Week!

Marissa was chosen to be STAR of the week!! that means she gets to help Teacher do things. Be line leader and whatever else!  We made this poster about her so her teacher hangs it up for a week.  She sent home a paper that is a "get to know U", and they tell about Marissa!  She was excited, so I thought that I would share her "CUTE" Poster that I made....(yes, spur of the moment...because mom forgot!)  But we got it done and it turned out cute!!
Few things about Marissa:
She loves Kindergarten and makes new friends easily!, she love to eat Chinese Food (especially chinese chicken...aka: sweet and sour chicken!), her favorite color is pink.  Sh always tells me she wants a new pet anything everyday....(dog, lizard, cat, rabbit....she wants them all!),  She has Blonde hair and blue eyes!  She has already lost 3-4 teeth I believe.  She is still only about 34-35lbs but is growing taller.  She is still skinny as ever and I have a hard time finding her pants that will look cute on her and that she will actually wear!  She is finicky about her shoes, hair, clothes....(kinda reminds me of ME)! and it drives me crazy!!! But she is sweet and fun and loves to cuddle with her daddy on the couch!!
we love YOU Marissa and are glad that you are in our family!!!

Her smile.......it's so funny because she has missing teeth!!  Cute girl I have!!!

St. George

Over President's Day weekend, we decided last min to take a trip to St. George to visit my grandparents who bought a trailer there.  The kids had Friday and Monday off so we decided to head down Thursday after Tony got off work.  We were out on the road by 4:30! I had the car packed and the kids had something to eat before we left and we were on our way!  The kids did great! no whinning or crying.  They played nicely and were nice to each other in the car!  it makes a world of difference when we are driving that far!  We told them that if they could be good for the almost 5 hr. drive down and back that we would take them to Disneyland at some point, but they had to show us that they had to be good in the car!
We arrived at my grandparents about 10:30PM.  It was fun to see them, since they had been away for a couple of weeks!  My kids and I are super close to my grandparents, (since they live right next to my mom), so it's fun!  I just wanted a nice relaxing weekend and have my grandmother take care of me!
While we were there, Tony went golfing twice with my grandpa.  My grandma and I took the kids swimming at  a rec cntr.  It was nice and fun! My grandma cooked good food for us.  She took the kids on some little walks.  One night both Blake and Marissa got sick and puked a couple of times, so on Sunday while my granparents went to church, we stayed home and took a little drive up through one of the canyons!  It was fun and the kids had fun! I didn't want to share the sickness with the kids at church.
We were in St. George for 4 nights and 5 day's.  It was a super nice, relaxing much needed mini vacation.  Now we can go down whenever and have a place to stay pretty much!  Thanks grandma and grandpa for having us in St. George with you! We all had a blast!!
