Blake's 5th Birthday 2009

So Blake had a great 5yr Birthday this year! We celebrated his birthday along with Grandpa Brian's and with uncle Graem's birthday the Sunday before. It was great! On Blake's real birthday, had a party with the boys in our ward that are his age. They played on the Slip n Slide and had tons of fun! later that night we had Tony's parents and family over and they also played on the Slip N Slide and had fun. He got some fun toys and we are glad Blake is 5. he will be starting Kindergarten this fall and is very excited. We are glad you are in our family Blake and you are very special and make us laugh every day! Happy Birthday!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We went to the Kaysville parade (tradition). It was actually better than in the past. They had 4 actual floats and it was a longer parade. It also made out to be nice weather, so it was nice to watch the parade and not be soo hot! After the parade we went to my grandma's sisters house to go swimming and have a bbq. We then went to tony's parents house to have a bbq for dinner and the kids played in the water and then we went to the fireworks with them at DHS. It was fun. After the fireworks, I got sick and threw up on the side of the road going home! I guess it was from all the heat and entertainment! here are some pictures

Slip - N - Slide!

Today, Blake and Jaci were playing outside. I got them a slip n slide and Blake loved it! Jaci went down a few times, and got a little wet. She had fun though! When i went outside to take a few pictures, Jaci was covered in sand and needed to be sprayed off. I tried putting her under it and getting her wet, but she didn't like that idea and told me she was wet! What a silly girl! Here are a few pictures of them playing and Jaci crying because she was wet! (She was tired too and needed a nap!)

Blake.....growing up!

So, now that Blake will be 5 next week, Tony believes it is a big milestone in his life. Up to this point I have taken Fruit snacks for my kids to eat after the sacrament because our church starts at 2:00. and I have also let him take some of his cars or action figures to keep him busy. Tony on Sunday talked to Blake about it and Blake got all mad and stormed out of the room all mad and frustrated because he thought it was a punishment and didn't quite understand. After a while after he calmed down, Tony was then able to talk to Blake that he is growing up and being 5 is a big deal and that he ready to start listening and trying to understand what is being said and start feeling the spirit! I told him he can still take some paper and crayons to draw a church picture with and I will have some church books (by the way, where do you get some church books for your kids?)that they can look at! Blake has a tender heart and gets his feelings hurt, and you have to be careful they way you say things to him and some about it! Tony does a great job with him in teaching him! He does a whole lot better than me! I just get frustrated with the whole thing and then i usually get mad and raise my voice (which is not good)! Blake is learning and he is an excellent kid and try to do what is right and is good and obedient! I love my little boy to death! I am glad he is on our family and he is a good older brother to his 2 sisters! We love Blake!

Marissa and Blake

Today we went and did well-child visits with Dr. Evans and this is where they stand: Marissa is 38' tall (65%), and 24.8# (1%) and so she is doing well. She has enough energy for us all is eating okay still. Still not the best eater, but we are working on that. Also working on getting her potty trained! I have started to if she poops in her diaper....she has to throw it in the toilet and flush it! We will see how that goes! No shots, she is all up to date! Horray!

Blake: 44' tall (74%) and weight: 39.2# (40%). So he is growing and doing well! He has energy and loves to play outside with his friends and ride his scooter and loves to go shooting with his dad! He will be 5 on the 22nd and is way excited for his birthday and to be able to go to Kindergarten this Fall! He is a smart kid and likes to talk to adults!

We love both of you! Keep on growing and being sooooooo smart!

We did not do Jaci's, but we did weigh her and she weigh's 23#, so she is catching up and going to out weigh her sister!

I am looking for a Dresser for my son for his Birthday which is coming up soon. Do any of you know where to find a cheap but good dresser? Preferably a light color one...I am having the hardest time trying to find one and I don't want to spend a whole lot preferably $60.00 or under. I have looked on KSL...but can't find anything. if any of you know where to find a dresser...let me know.
And why are kid shoes so dang expensive? They grow out of them so fast...it is unbelievable! It's ridiculous! Thanks!

How do you NOT be OCD?

That is my question to you all?! How do you NOT be OCD? Obviously that is my problem and it always has been and it is not a very good thing when you are married and have kids.....it just doesn't work well. This is how I am: I am a perfectionist and I like things clean and in it's place at all times; I like things done right and after you make a mess, clean it up and don't leave anything out; put your things away right away; if someone asks you to do something.....DO IT and don't procrastinate; be on time; have things ready for whatever situation; know what your kids are doing at all times and watch your kids and don't let them wonder around the neighborhood or wherever else; clean your kids up and make them look presentable wherever you may go; don't leave things out for your kids to eat or use to destroy your house or to choke to death on; teach your kids respect and obedience!
Yes...I know I am a little Over the TOP. I feel bad because I have a hard time trying to relax and enjoying the little things! I am constantly at my kids to pick up their crap, or to not make a mess or to keep their food in their mouth and don't make a mess on the table with their food and not to spill, to do as I ask the first time to be nice to each other....or not to loose their toys (because they can't sleep without it), or to not talk and interrupt when someone else is talking. I am having a hard time with it all and I make myself sick over it lately. Then I have a hard time when all day I pick up after my kids, and then my husband comes home and he leaves stuff out and I have to pick up his crap and he tells me not to treat him as a child....but then I tell him to act like an adult and take care of his crap so I don't because it frustrates me even worse. There is no medium around here! So I don't know what to do because I am so OCD and I like a clean house and I hate crap out and just laying out, it drives me IN SANE!
So if any of you have any suggestions...... (other than....some therapy...cause that is where i need to go...).....
Thanks!

4th Of July 2009!

Here we are another 4th of July has passed and we are more than 1/2 way through the year! Summer has now begun with 90 degree weather and the sun shinning so bright and kids wanting to play in the water!!! I love the summer time, isn't great!
We had a great 4th of July once again. We started out with our annual Kaysville Parade with my mom's side of the family! It was great! Thanks to my sisters for setting out chairs the day before so we could have a great place to sit! It was a little overcast so it wasn't too hot this year! It was perfect! This year they had 4 actual floats and they had the jets fly by and they had a helicopter fly real low towards the end! It was great! The people who were handing stuff out must have liked my kids, cause they kept coming up to them to give them little things! It was fun! After the parade, we went to my grandma's sisters house to go swim. It was nice and warm and we ate there! It is always fun to get together with the Green Family! We are all pretty much married (all the cousins) all except the younger 3! SO it is fun! After that festive...we went to Tony's parents house to eat again and the kids went down a slip n slide and had great fun on that! We also had a little water fight! yes, I eventually got wet and was a sport! It is always fun to have people join in and have fun instead of being lame! After that we went to the DHS Fireworks and this year they were actually good and my kids loved it! The best part was, was that after the fireworks.....i was so sick to my stomach...that I vomited on someone's park strip on the way home. It was embarrassing....but I tell you, I felt so much better. With all the combination of everything and eating too much.....I am prone to do this. I did it quite frequently as a child! But then I was all better after! Great fun hu!! It will be a 4th I will always remember! Here are some pictures of our daily activities!

He loves going underwater with his goggles and marissa hates to wear a life jacket and hates going under water! They all did great! Today, they let all the kids that wanted to, go down the slide! Marissa.....she wasn't too fond of going down, but Blake...He went down and went under water and did great! He was a little scared.;..but had fun!!
Enjoy!
